All Wifi routers have a 2.4 GHz band. Newer routers are often "dual-band" containing 2.4 Ghz & 5 Ghz bands. If both your 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz bands have the same Network Name (SSID) & password your PupPod should automatically connect to the 2.4 GHz band.
If you have multiple Network's (or are unsure) navigate to your smartphones Wifi Settings (Settings > WiFi Settings) & find the network(s) that belongs to you. Assuming you haven't customized your network name, the name will often include a reference to which band it represents - examples listed below:
- A 2.4 GHz network may have "24G," "2.4," or "24" appended to the end of the network name. For example: "Myhomenetwork2.4"
- A 5 GHz network may have "5G" or "5" appended to the end of the network name, for example "Myhomenetwork5". Additionally a 5 GHz network may be listed as a "guest" network.
PupPod only operates on 2.4GHz WiFi Networks. Every router is different, so if you need to make networks changes, its best to call your Internet Service Provider for help OR google how to make these changes on your specific make/model of router. There are several online guides which provide guidance on how to make network changes.
